How To Make a Comfrey Poultice
- Chop a few comfrey leaves up then place the leaves in a clean bowl
- Pour hot (but not boiling) water over them
- Allow the water to cool (save the water for watering your plants)
- Once cooled, remove the leaves and squeeze out the excess water.
- The mash can now be used on the skin
- Many sources warn against applying comfrey onto broken skin - only apply on unbroken skin. Pregnant and breast-feeding women should consult their physican before using comfrey internally or externally.
